Northern Nevada HOPES is a community health and wellness center serving the Northern Nevada area. We are a non-profit community health center located in a historic and quaint area of downtown Reno, Nevada. Our expert care teams provide integrated medical and wellness services to individuals and families in our community.   • We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The mission of all FQHCs is to provide excellent health care services to otherwise under-served populations. We accept most insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and the uninsured. For the uninsured, we offer discounted services based on a sliding fee scale.
  • We are a National Health Service Corp site, and our providers are eligible to apply toward a federal loan forgiveness program

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting the activities of the Pharmacy. HOPES has an integrated team model approach to patient care. Part of the Pharmacy Technician’s responsibility will include participation in organization wide Patient Centered Medical Home activities to enhance patient care. As quality is every employee’s responsibility, the Pharmacy Technician is required to uphold all standards and policies, and participate in quality improvement processes and meetings.

We’re looking for:

  • Pharmacy Technician licensed in the state of Nevada
  • Two or more years of pharmacy-retail experience
  • Experience working with HIV population and HIV medications preferred
  • Excellent customer service and client relation skills.
  • Don’t be a jerk . . . because the Pharmacy team needs you to be compassionate as well as having excellent interpersonal/customer service skills for your customers and your co-workers!

  • Bi-lingual is DEFINITELY a plus!
