Senior Engagement RN

Reno, NV | Full Time

HOPES is seeking an experienced and compassionate super star to perform the functions of the clinic Registered Nurse. We are seeking an RN who will enhance our dynamic and impressive Medical team! The chosen candidate should possess a great attitude, a passion for learning, a commitment to helping others and excellent customer service.

Are you a master at interacting with clients, staff and others professionally and courteously?  We have a busy and sometimes chaotic clinic that will fill your days with purpose and meaning!  Are you better than all of the rest?  Then it’s time to convince us, by sending over your radical and unique resume to the hiring team at Northern Nevada HOPES!   Please spare us from having to read a lengthy, boring, and antiquated cover letter!   But ABSOLUTELY do: Describe your experience, feature all your awards and certifications, and share some success stories with us that show your proven ability.

Here is why HOPES changes lives:

We want you to bring and contribute value, and in return feel valued every day!  HOPES is a non-profit community health center that provides comprehensive healthcare to medically underserved populations.  HOPES programs address medical barriers and access to resources that often negatively impact people experiencing stigma, isolation, addiction, mental health, hunger and homelessness.

If it’s important for you to experience meaningful work, and you can be non-judgmental in your approach to helping others successfully remove the barriers to meaningful and healthy lives . . .  you will find gratification and purpose in being part of the HOPES team!

Applicant Must Haves:

  • RN/BSN with at least 2 years of experience working with Seniors, licensed in the state of Nevada.
  • Don’t be a jerk . . . because we need you to be compassionate along with all of your strong nursing experience!
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • We think you need familiarity with community health and chronic disease management, Diabetes and Heath Disease but if you convince us otherwise we’ll remain open and curious to evaluating your years of experience thriving as a Registered Nurse!
  • The Community Health Center Nurse will enhance our already awesome team . . . really!!! This amazing team needs you to possess a great attitude, have a passion for life-long learning, embrace feedback while demonstrating a suburb commitment to helping one another, and provide extraordinary service to all.
  • The selected candidate will work within the multidisciplinary team at HOPES to plan and coordinate care for clients at HOPES. Duties to include coordination of HIV, primary care, family practice and behavioral health services and health education as well as facilitating clinical workflow within the team care concept.  Pediatric RN experience preferred.
  • Love to learn a little bit every day & know how important the little details are to building credibility and trust amongst your fellow colleagues. Maybe provide us with some examples on how you do this. We definitely feel that computer literacy is key in this position.
  • Well-developed presentation skills and the ability to present ideas to diverse audiences-Habla Espanol prefiero!
  • Brag to us about how you’ve been able to work independently.
  • Our team cheerfully and willingly steps in to support each other! In our organization, you will need to work long hours on occasion to help catch up on special projects in the department (sometime even on a weekend), so remaining flexible (just like Gumby!) and approachable is critical to getting the job done!
