Jerika Bernard, who began working in healthcare as an RN in 2012 and as an APRN in 2019, is passionate about healthcare. Her belief that healthcare is a right not a privilege, drives her commitment to ensuring equal access to healthcare for everyone. Jerika’s dedication to providing compassionate and equitable care is reflected in her career path from volunteering with the Height Ashbury Free Clinic, to serving as an RN in the emergency department, and now as an ANCC board certified family nurse practitioner at Northern Nevada HOPES.
Jerika joined HOPES because its mission aligns with her ethical beliefs. The organization’s commitment to valuing each patient and striving to improve the lives of those they serve resonates with Jerika. Being part of HOPES allows her to contribute to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to the community.
Personal Interests:
Having made Reno her home in 2012, Jerika relishes the diverse outdoor experiences the city has to offer. When she’s not working, you’ll likely spot her skiing, mountain biking, or having fun along the Truckee River – most often in the company of her husband and two dogs.
