Dining Out For Life Raises Funds for HIV on April 25th

Dining Out For Life, a citywide fundraiser held on Thursday, April 25, 2013, gives northern Nevadans an appetizing way to fight HIV, just by dining out. On this day, 30 participating restaurants will donate a portion of their sales to Northern Nevada HOPES, Reno’s nonprofit HIV service organization and community health center. A full list of participating restaurants is available online at diningoutforlife.com/northernnevada.

An international event with over 60 participating cities, Dining Out For Life raises $3 million each year for HIV service organizations across the United States and Canada. This marks the 3rd year that Northern Nevada HOPES is raising funds for Nevadans affected by HIV.

Dish Café owner Joe Horn, a 3rd year Dining Out For Life participant, says, “I’m thrilled to be a part of Dining Out For Life. It’s a fun event that supports Northern Nevada HOPES and the outstanding work they do for individuals and families affected by HIV in our community.”

Northern Nevada HOPES offers a full range of healthcare services for the general community and for individuals affected by HIV. Services include primary medical care, case management, mental health counseling and free HIV testing and outreach.

You can make one meal matter on April 25th by dining out at participating local restaurants and inviting your friends and family to do the same. For more information on where to “Dine Out and Fight AIDS,” visit diningoutforlife.com/northernnevada or nnhopes.org.
