Join the Northern Nevada HOPES Board
What We Do:
- Guide the mission of HOPES, making sure we stay focused on serving the underserved in our community.
- Approve funding applications and the annual budget, helping us keep the lights on and the care flowing.
- Hire and support our Executive Director/CEO, ensuring strong leadership at the helm.
- Create policies that keep us running smoothly, including financial management and sliding fee discounts to make healthcare accessible.
- Plan for the future—reviewing our mission and setting long-term goals so HOPES can thrive for years to come.
- Decide on our services, locations, and hours of operation to best meet community needs.
Who We're Looking For:
- Passionate community members who want to make a difference!
- A mix of “consumer members” (HOPES patients) and “non-consumer members” (community leaders, local business folks, legal experts, etc.).
- HOPES patients play a huge role in shaping our care, services, and priorities—their insights help us create meaningful changes that benefit both the organization and our patients. We want your voice at the table!
- No more than half of our non-consumer members can have major ties to the healthcare industry.
Board Member Commitment:
- Terms are three years long.
- Make connections and “Friendraise” on behalf of HOPES
- Monthly meetings (with flexibility to join remotely!), plus an annual meeting to welcome new members and elect officers.
- Involvement in one of our committees—Executive, Finance, or Continuous Quality Improvement—where your expertise can shine!
