Barbara began her career in behavioral health after two decades of successful corporate management. Her passion has always been helping people choose how they want to learn, grow, and change. She believes life can be both beautiful and painful, and that everyone has the capacity to build meaningful lives while learning to manage the stress and challenges that are always part of life.
Barbara joined HOPES because it is a safe and welcoming place to heal, learn, and grow. Everyone who comes is seen, respected, and accepted just as they are. HOPES is a values-based organization, and its staff are deeply committed to helping others.
Barbara enjoys exploring all facets of the world and connecting with the people in it. She appreciates movies that make her laugh, cry, and think, as well as binge-watching guilty pleasure TV. She challenges her mind and body through new learning and movement, especially yoga, Pilates, and evening walks with her dogs. Meditation and self-inquiry are also important parts of her life.
