What makes you passionate about the behavioral health field?
I learned I wanted to become a therapist when I discovered I enjoyed helping others and providing them a safe space to heal to become better versions of themselves and help them create the lives they wanted.
Why did you join HOPES?
I interned at NNH for my master’s program at the University of Nevada, Reno and became passionate about helping the Latinx community, especially the Spanish speaking community and underserved populations. Finding myself back at NNH after a year of being in the field as a licensed master’s social worker, working towards my clinical social worker license to officially become a fully licensed therapist. I believe in providing accessible mental health services for our community.
My favorite hobbies
I am a dog mom of a dachshund pup named Dante, after the dog in the Disney movie “Coco”. You will catch me doing any outdoors activities like paddleboarding at the lake or hiking. I practice yoga and pilates on my free time, along with painting and crafting cool stuff!
