44 Reno-area restaurants to donate a portion of sales to Northern Nevada HOPES
Dining Out For Life, a citywide fundraiser held on Thursday, April 24, 2014, gives northern Nevadans an easy and appetizing way to fight HIV, just by dining out. On this day, 44 participating local restaurants will donate a portion of their sales to Northern Nevada HOPES, Reno’s nonprofit HIV service organization and community health center. To kick off the main event, HOPES has partnered with Food Truck Fridays and will be holding a Dining Out For Life Food Truck Kick-off party on Friday April 11th from 5-9pm at the Damonte Family Event Center in south Reno. Attendees can enjoy local food truck cuisine while supporting HOPES and raising awareness about HIV.
An international event with over 60 participating cities, Dining Out For Life raises $3 million each year for HIV service organizations across the United States and Canada. This marks the 4th year that Northern Nevada HOPES is raising funds for individuals and families affected by HIV in Nevada.
Northern Nevada HOPES offers a full range of healthcare services for the general community and for individuals affected by HIV. Services include primary care, chronic disease management, behavorial health counseling, social services, and free HIV testing and outreach.
