Wazi: Living With Hope – A Documentary Film

Join HOPES and local filmmakers for a documentary showing of Wazi, at the Good Luck MacBeth Theater, in honor of World AIDS Day 2013.

What is Wazi? Wazi is an inspirational film following a group of 5 people through various stages of living openly with HIV in rural Africa. It chronicles their trials and triumphs as they strive to live openly, support each other, and stand up to the stigma that they encounter in their communities and homes.

“Wazi” means “open” in Swahili, and it is a story of self-acceptance, unity, and community.
