Dining Out For Life is back in Reno, Sparks and Carson City on April 28

Northern Nevada HOPES once again hosts Dining Out For Life (DOFL) on April 28 in Reno, Sparks and Carson City. The event is the biggest annual fundraiser for the community wellness center.

DOFL is an international fundraiser that raises money to help people living with HIV. More than 30 local restaurants in Reno, Sparks and Carson City will participate on April 28 and will donate part of their proceeds for that day to HOPES. Though DOFL is an international fundraiser, all money raised in Northern Nevada will stay in the local area.

Last year, DOFL raised more than $50,000 for HIV programs and services at HOPES. Funds raised went to HIV treatment, support services, housing assistance, and HIV testing and outreach.

To get the local community excited for DOFL, HOPES is hosting a Kick-Off Party with Yelp Reno at the Flowing Tide Pub #4 (located at 1450 E. Prater Way, Sparks, NV 89434) on April 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

At the party, Reno DOFL sponsor Tahoe Blue Vodka will host a “Tahoe Tide” cocktail contest featuring local bartenders. Food will be provided courtesy of Flowing Tide Pub, and Morrey Distributing will provide craft beer. A $10 donation is suggested, and people can RSVP for the party at the Yelp event page at http://ow.ly/4mKs9l.

More than 50 cities across the United States and Canada participated in DOFL in 2015, raising more than $4 million internationally to support people living with HIV. This is the sixth year that HOPES has participated in DOFL.

HOPES would like to thank its local sponsors for supporting DOFL, including A&H Insurance, Bank Of America, Merrill Lynch, Grand Canyon University, Renown Health, Tahoe Blue Vodka, Morrey Distributing Company, MAC Cosmetics, Pacific States Communications, NAE, Yelp Reno and Subaru.
