What makes you passionate about the behavioral health field?
“I’m deeply passionate about behavioral health because I believe it is an essential and legitimate part of overall healthcare. Just as we care for our physical health, tending to our emotional and psychological well-being is vital to living a full and meaningful life.
My commitment to this work comes from a strong belief in the power of healing, growth, and human resilience. I’ve seen how therapy can create lasting change, and I feel honored to support individuals on that journey. I value humanistic, person-centered care—where your voice, choices, and experiences are central to the process. I am passionate about fostering resilience and self-determination My approach is rooted in creating a safe, respectful space where clients feel empowered to explore their values, build on their strengths, and take an active role in their recovery journey.
I believe that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering experience. You are the expert in your life, and my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Life can be incredibly hard at times, and no one should have to face those challenges alone. I’m here to support your journey in a way that feels grounded, authentic, and aligned with your values.”
Why did you join HOPES?
“I joined Northern Nevada HOPES because I believe in the power of truly integrated care. Being part of a multidisciplinary healthcare facility allows me to collaborate closely with medical providers, case managers, and other professionals—all working together in service of the patient. This kind of team-based environment brings a depth of support to behavioral health that simply isn’t possible in more isolated settings. I believe more perspectives lead to better outcomes, and at HOPES, every discipline contributes meaningfully to whole-person care.
I’m also deeply committed to the belief that quality healthcare, including behavioral health, should be accessible and affordable for everyone. At HOPES, individuals and families can access behavioral health services regardless of income, background, or insurance status—and that equity is a core reason I chose to be here.
Whether you’re seeking support for a specific challenge or exploring your personal growth, my goal is to provide compassionate, person-centered care within a setting that truly values and supports your overall well-being.”
My favorite hobbies
“I’m a Reno, Nevada local who believes in living life with curiosity, balance, and connection—values I also bring into my work as a therapist. Outside the office, you can usually find me exploring new restaurants (I love discovering hidden food gems), hiking the beautiful trails around Northern Nevada, paddle boarding in the summer, or practicing martial arts.
I’m also a big believer in creativity and slowing down when life allows. I enjoy reading, painting, and listening to all kinds of music—there’s almost always a playlist on in the background. One of my favorite companions is my dog, who keeps me grounded and active.
These hobbies help me stay centered and energized, and I love connecting with clients around the simple, joyful things that make life meaningful.”
