First and foremost, I’d like to thank you for your patience and understanding while our IT team navigated a disruption to our computer network in late December 2021. As you may know, cyber-attacks are on the rise and HOPES was affected by such an attack.
The issue disrupted appointments and caused many clinic services to be postponed over a period of several weeks. We know this caused an inconvenience for many of you, and want you to know we are committed to the security of our data and network environment.
Our leadership and IT teams are working with outside experts to continue to identify what caused the disruption, and once their audit is complete, we will share what occurred, how it was fixed, and our plans to improve our network security against any future attacks.
