Northern Nevada HOPES is a non-profit community health center located in downtown Reno, NV that provides integrated medical and wellness services. Job Must Haves:

  • Experience? Well of course! At least 2 years’ of clinical experience
  • Education…impressive! Fully licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Nevada
  • National Provider Identification numberplease
  • We need you to understand and respond with appropriate sensitivity to diverse and special populations including LGBT, homeless, IDU, Sex Workers, and those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, etc.
  • Competency in providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to individuals, families, couples, children, and groups with behavioral health/substance abuse problems in a trauma informed primary care setting
  • Super interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with primary care staff, patients and other behavioral health clinicians
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information . . . Knowledge of HIPAA is super-duper!
  • Familiarity with the Behavioral Health Consultant Model, a Harm Reduction philosophy and a Trauma Informed Care model would be AMAZING!
  • Familiarity with Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treat for substance abuse (SBIRT) and evidence based treatment modalities for crisis interventions
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred! But not required!
  • Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members in our integrated CARE team. Because, you are awesome!
