Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to manage multiple assignments/projects; meet appropriate time-frames. Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables. Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions. Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and to enhance teamwork in the clinic and overall HOPES organization. Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to interview and communicate with patients in a clinical setting. Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively to special population groups as defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, etc. Good decision making and judgment capabilities. The ability to identify and solve complex problems. Being socially perceptive; that is, aware of the reactions of others and understanding those reactions. Good reading comprehension skills. Good coordination skills and the ability to adjust one’s actions in relation to others’ actions. Effective logic, reasoning and critical thinking skills. Effective writing skills. Effective speaking skills. Active listening skills.
Education or equivalency: Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in maintaining patient health records; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certification/licensure: High School Graduate or GED
