Give OUT Day is a month-long fundraising campaign culminating on June 30, the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ community. Since 2013, Give OUT Day has helped hundreds of LGBTQ nonprofits raise millions of dollars!

Connect your colorful circle and Give OUT this June

At HOPES, we welcome all members of the  LGBTQ+ community by providing culturally competent healthcare,
social services, and community outreach and education. Together, we can create a strong, cohesive LGBTQ+ network that connects people, solves problems, and builds a healthier Reno community.

Every day, people walk through our doors feeling judged and unaccepted by the outside world and as if they have nowhere else to turn. They come seeking medical care, behavioral health and support services.

We know wellness is more than just your physical health.

Our inclusive, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach puts patients at the center of their own care. All are welcome and encouraged access a range of services including:

○ Behavioral Health
○ HIV/STI Testing
○ HIV Care
○ Referrals and help with payment assistance for services not provided at HOPES.
○ Comprehensive Care from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

Thank you to everyone who will get involved and help raise $50,000 in 2022!

We are thrilled to tell you that funds raised during Give OUT will go towards the Dr. Barry Frank Family Fund which provides payment assistance to HOPES’ LGBTQ+ patients for services that are not typically provided at HOPES. These services include things like surgery support, legal assistance, voice coaching, cosmetic services, and behavioral health support.

Thank you the Teams, Businesses and Individuals that provide incentives, sponsorships and support.

Everyone can share our social media posts and get involved in Give OUT!

Our success is your success!

Events and Activities

June 24          1 pm – 2 pm
Engaging the LGBTQ+ Community Ally Training

This virtual training will provide awareness of how to work to build stronger community relationships with and for LGBTQ+ people. This training will provide participants knowledge of new, and emerging, aspects of the LGBTQ+ community using the gingerbread person. Using the spectrum of identity – what’s between the ears, between the legs, and in the heart – the goal of the training is to make it easier to become an ally for LGBTQ+ individuals to combat the politicization of queer people.

This training is ideal for individuals who care about the LGBTQ+ community but often do not know key terminology and feel a bit nervous having conversations about important issues.

The trainer for this session is Dr. Todd Felts, APR, an associate professor of journalism in the Reynolds School at UNR.
