Northern Nevada HOPES is approved for the National Health Service NurseCorps Loan Repayment Program!  This position may be eligible for this Loan Repayment program.

This position won’t work overnights and there is no weekend scheduling.  We are open 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  so you’d be home in time for dinner.  Need I say more?  How many nursing positions give you that time of work/life balance?

Our Clinic Nurse will assist the Primary Care team by developing, implementing, evaluating and managing the care and education of patients and oversees the day-to-day activities of patient care.  This would include assessing patients, providing education, administering injections, coordinating with other service providers and making referrals, and read and document test results.  You’ll assist the Physicians and Mid-level Practitioners where needed and update and maintain health maintenance forms.  You’ll have the opportunity to assist wherever needed in our fast-paced clinic and by doing so, expand your experience.

We are looking for:

• RN or LPN currently licensed  in the State of Nevada
• A passionate nurse with a heart for our mission and our patients-we are looking for the right fit for our patients and our culture!
• Able to remain non-judgmental in working with our special populations and to adapt to and adopt our harm reduction philosophy
• Ability to establish rapport with patients, determine priorities and remain flexible
• A superb communicator, helping patients connect with their primary team and other services
• Desire to instruct and teach our patients to help them better manage their health
• Up-to-date knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, and equipment
• An agility expert; this position will require flexibility plus!
